It was a gorgeous, sunny, hot day at the Maine Open, as a field of 28 competitors gathered at Taber’s for another edition of one of the Northeast’s staple White-tier events.
Kyle Courcy, a repeat Champion, ran away with the title at 107, six strokes clear of 2nd place! Kyle also matched the course record, set in 2025 by Champion Mark “Highlighter” Novicki.
Stephane Dulmaine and Mark “Highlighter” Novicki tied for 2nd at 113, forcing a playoff. Stephane won it on hole 1, taking 2nd place and pushing Novicki down to 3rd.
Justin Seymour and Jim Berube tied for 4th, sending them to a playoff that stretched all the way to hole 4 — both left with long, breaking putts to close it out. Jim’s putt slid just past the cup for a 3, while Justin drained his to win the playoff and claim 4th place, with Jim rounding out the top 5.
The top of the leaderboard was stacked with former champions: Mark “Highlighter” Novicki, Matthew Liles, Justin Seymour, and Kyle Courcy.
