Walkabout Mini Golf VR 2026 AMA Virtual Scoring Event

Results

Matt Roalstad goes back-to-back winning AMA events on Walkabout. His round of -14 on the very challenging Hollywood course was the key. He was steady and consistent on both courses with 3 aces, including an impressive & risky timing ace on #4 on Hollywood. Jorge Rimblas, the only other player to have won an AMA Walkabout event outright, was only 3 strokes off the lead and tied for 2nd with AMA newcomer Jeff Hamstra.

Below the scores, you can find a stream of 4 of the AMA competitors with commentary from the folks who run the Classic League as well as two “Lessons from a PRO” videos of the two courses and how to play them strategically.

We’re very pleased about this collaboration with The Classic League and are hoping people stick around and play in the league all year. We’re planning on having our Walkabout event with the Classic League earlier in the year in 2027. Stay tuned!

Additional Details

Update: We pushed the Walkabout event back to the weekend of April 11 & 12.

The best virtual reality mini golf game, Walkabout Mini Golf, will once again provide a scoring opportunity for AMA points for 2026 in our virtual events tier. This time around, we’ll be partnering with The Classic Golf League, the premier and largest group for competitive events on Walkabout Mini Golf, and utilizing the scores from rounds from Week 1 of Season 20 happening between April 11 & 12. There are specific rules and tee times that you must follow for your results to count for the weekly league and thus for this AMA virtual event. Some of the rounds are live-streamed on YouTube.

To play, you’ll need to let us know your AMA membership name and your handle (aka name) on Walkabout so we can attribute points. Fill out the form at https://bit.ly/amavirtualevent2026. We will only attribute points to those who opt-in through the form before the event to let us know their screen names as well as being active AMA members. You have until Saturday, April 11th, at 5 p.m. Central US time to register for free to become an AMA member and submit the form for your points to count for this event.
