The 2025 AMA season finished with a massive bang! Every player who finished in the overall AMA top 10 and 14 of the top 20 competitors from the 2025 season went to Georgia to compete in the Putters League Championship.
This was the first time the Putters League hosted an event where players could use minigolf balls and change the WMF-approved ball they use at each hole, but funny enough, all of the top 3 players used only golf balls. Danny Tatum and Greg Newport finished tied at -27 after 4 rounds. The two played a 6-round playoff starting at Hole #13. Danny dropped a shot on Hole #15 but aced #18 to force a sudden death starting at Hole #1. Danny aced #1, and after Greg missed, Danny Tatum won his first tournament in the AMA circuit and the 2025 Putters League Championship. Randy Reeves finished in 3rd by only 1 stroke off the top spot.
Kevin Walter won the Georgia Pro division and Rock Croteau from Canada won the amateur division.
Danny Tatum set a new course record in the first round with a -10 (26) and that record was tied by Rick Baird in the 3rd round. Previous record was -9
Rick Baird was the overall points winner of the 2025 Putters League Season
This was the first time for at least 7 players to travel outside of their AMA region to compete in an AMA event. This list of players from the Northeast and Midwest includes Justin Seymour, Anna Seymour, Brandon Robinson, Nick Vagnini, Derek Hartmann, Nate Blazier & Justin Gutche.
We had players from the UK (Simon Brown) and Canada (Rock Croteau & Francis Levine-Croteau), as well as players from across 13 states in the US.
This was the first time that the Putters League Championship hosted a WMF World Adventure Golf Tour qualifier. By winning, Danny Tatum received an automatic invite to the tour final in May 2026 at Gloucester Aces in the UK.
