How to Get Points
Check out our event page to view all the AMA sponsored events around the country. There are going to be 4 tiers of tournaments where you can compete and earn points. The tiers are Blue, White, Red, and Virtual. The point tiers for each tournament are based on a number of factors including historical turnout, location, and strength of competition. We review the tiers each year and ultimately want to give as many people an opportunity to earn as many points as possible through quality of finish.

Rank Nationally
Each player that competes in an AMA sponsored event, and is an AMA member, will be nationally ranked. The more tournaments you play in, the higher your chances are to become the top ranked mini golfer in the nation. Regardless of membership status AMA events are open to all participants.
For 2023, we updated our points metric based on some feedback from players and review of the expected schedule. Points will be awarded for how you finish in blue/white/red tournaments, with your top finish in each division counting toward your total. Bonus points will be awarded for top finishing positions, number of tournaments played and your final position in any virtual tournaments played.
See our for complete details on how the points are awarded and some examples of year end rankings based on this new scoring system.
