Recap

Words by Mick Cullen - Full Recap with photo

The biggest swing of the final 18 took place at the 8th hole of Par-King Red, where Mick Cullen and Kevin Weiss each carded a 3 while Landon Weiss and Griffin Weiss posted fives, causing a three-way tie atop the leaderboard at -14. The standings remained tight thereafter, until Cullen and Kevin Weiss entered the final hole knotted at -14, with Derek Hartmann carrying the same score after the completion of his round. After Kevin Weiss’s 3 on the pinball-style 18th hole, Cullen holed a 2 to clinch a one-stroke victory at -15. Hartmann and Kevin Weiss tied for second, a single stroke back (-14), with Griffin Weiss and Tommy Schweiss matching scores in 4th place (-13).

On the final leaderboard, just 7 strokes separated 1st place from 10th, and four rookies made the top ten, foreshadowing what will likely be some competitive fields in the coming years as well!
