The 3rd Coziest Open saw the largest turnout in the event by double with the majority of new players coming from the amateur division. This was the first time that qualifying didn’t determine the field as well. 10 of the 34 competitors were 16 years old or younger giving A Couple of Putts their youngest field in the 8 tournaments they have hosted.
In the pro division, Tom Loftus won from start to finish with a 3-round total of 88. After finishing in the final position of the Coziest Open in 2023, Kameron Haselius set the course record with a final round of 27 and jumped up to 2nd place to get his first podium for an AMA event. Mick Cullen played solid all day and only fell to 3rd due to Kameron’s outstanding play. Bryan Akers from The Putter’s League Atlanta made his Coziest Open debut with a top 5 finish. In the aces-only round for pro players outside of the top 6, Anthony Dunkel won in a tie-breaker with Amanda Farahany of Putter’s League Atlanta and Marcel Neinhus. All of them shot 4 aces in their aces-only round.
Mark Giannini ran away with the amateur division top spot with a pro-level 2-round score of 65. Matt Tellander won a two-hole playoff against Kathleen Malone for 2nd place.
Tom Loftus and Shawn Brown played a tie-breaker for most aces through 2 rounds. Both of them shot 9 hole-in-ones during the first two rounds and in the tie-breaker, Shawn made the ace on #14 & Tom missed to make Shawn the winner of most aces that includes a prize back from our friends at OneShot Golf.

Stroke play tournament with a pro and amateur division
Pro division will all start at Hole #1, Amateur Division Hole #10
Amateur division will play 2 rounds and will have prizes, trophies, and medals. $25/person
Pro division play 3 rounds. The top 6 after 2 rounds play a final stroke play round to determine the top 6 spots. The rest of the pro field play an aces-only round for a separate prize. $35/person
