We are the American Mini Golf Alliance!

Competitive miniature golfers and putting enthusiasts from across the US including A Couple of Putts (Minnesota), O-Street Mini Golf (New Jersey), and The Putting Penguin (Connecticut / DC) connected back in 2019 around their combined passion for a game called many things across the world but we’ll simply go with Mini Golf.

The founders of the AMA have been actively involved in the US and the national world of mini golf for years across the realms of competitions, design, and documentation of the game. As the group were looking for ways to connect other people passionate about the game, we thought it would be valuable to find new ways to more broadly incorporate the myriad of ways people engage with the sport of mini golf.

While a core aspect of the AMA is connecting the various regional tournaments that are not currently under a national organization’s umbrella, this will not be the only focus. We want to celebrate all the ways an individual can play mini golf and provide a community for people to connect however they would like to share and grow the game.

The AMA does not intend to compete with other national organizations.  Rather we want our players to participate in as many as they would like to help support the sport and always eager to collaborate with other organizations.

We affirm the World Mini Golf Sport Federation (WMF) Core Values of:

  • Integrity: We act with absolute integrity, demonstrating honesty and fair play in every action that we take.

  • Teamwork: We work collaboratively with all our members in order to encourage a diverse and close Mini Golf community and meet our common goals.

  • Respect: We honor the rights, loyalty, dignity and opinions of others. We treat our athletes, members and partners with mutual respect and sensitivity. We ensure the health and safety of our communities, and protect the environment in all we do.

  • Passion: Mini Golf is our passion. We follow it, dream it and live it with an intense desire and enthusiasm, always on basis of competition.

  • Connecting Generations: We promote the inclusion of women and men equally from all ethnic, religious and social backgrounds. Mini Golf connects people from all ages; children as well as adults.

The AMA wants the game of mini golf in the US to be inclusive of people of all identities and abilities who are interested in playing for fun or competition.  The AMA also actively discourages behavior that can be justifiably construed as bullying and harassment both online and in-person. We want to provide an environment that is welcoming and inviting in both in-person and online activities connected with the AMA.
